The best Hearthstone players in the world have conveyed to Los Angeles for the Blizzcon 2018 Hearthstone Global Games. Now that the winners have been decided and the dust has settle, it is time for the fans to prepare for another important event. This year concludes on a high note, as the Hearthstone All-Star Invitational comes to Taiwan on December 28.

A Three-Day Event Sponsored by Google Play

One year ago, nearly $100,000 was split among the most successful Hearthstone players in Asia and this year’s event promises to be even better. That’s because the tournament is sponsored by Google Play and over the course of three days some of the best players from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau with step into the spotlight. They will compete against their counterparts from around the world in an event that is expected to generate a lot of enthusiasm among local players.

It all begins with the “Community Night” on December 28 at 6:30 PM local time, to get players in the mood for some exceptional Hearthstone games. The fans are in for a couple of surprises, such as an all-female streamer Hearthstone show match that will include some popular players. Once the inaugural activities and show matches conclude, the main 2018 Hearthstone All-Star Invitational tournament will start on December 29. Over the course of two days, games will start at 11 AM local time and the tournament is expected to conclude on Sunday evening.

Six Players Announced for the 2018 Hearthstone All-Star Invitational

The organizers have already revealed the names of six players who are certain to play at the prestigious tournament scheduled for the last weekend of 2018. Three of them are seeded players from Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong, while the other three have secured international invitations. They will be joined by 10 other players, five of them being international invitees, while the remaining five will come from the aforesaid countries. Their names will be determined at the end of a regional community voting that is scheduled to start on November 24. We will know the complete roster on November 30 at midnight.

Hunterace, Fr0zen and Thijs are the three international invites that we already know off and all of them are accomplished players. The first is the First Hearthstone 3-Star Master, the second finished as a runner-up in the 2017 Hearthstone HCT World Championship, while the 3rd is the 2018 CN vs EU Championship winner. Hearthstone fans who would like to watch the event, but can’t travel to Taiwan this December, will be able to enjoy the live broadcast on YouTube. The live stream will be translated in several languages, including English, Mandarin and Thai, so there’s no risk of getting lost in translation.
