Big Week ahead in the League of Legends Champions Korea Spring
There were virtually no surprises in the week that has recently ended in the League of Legends Champions Korea tour. Some of the favourites have dropped on game, but eventually found the way to prevail against ambitious and highly motivated underdogs. The race resumes on Wednesday, February 20 and the 10 participating teams will try to improve their position in the standings, after five weeks.
The Telecom War Resumes on Wednesday
Griffin and Gen.G will be playing the opening match on Wednesday, but everyone is anxiously waiting for the highlight of the day. SK Telekom and KT Rolster will reignite an old rivalry between two of the most successful League of Legends teams in South Korea. Griffin fans can only expect odds of 1/20 at Betway on their favourites to win and even victory in two matches is only priced at 3/10. This is exactly the same value given by the bookmaker on SK Telekom to prevail against their rivals, who are priced at 5/2. A very tempting bet is on KT Rolster to win at least a map, at odds of 7/10.
Easy Mission for KDZ and Sandbox Gaming
Sandbox Gaming sit in the second place with 7 victories and a single defeat, a record that can be further improved on Thursday. That’s because they play against Afreeca Freecs which is a team in freefall, so the odds of 1/5 are fully justified. Kingzone DragonX have won just half of the matches played so far, but there are still clear favourites at odds of 3/20. Rivalry expects them to add to the misery of Jin Air, the only team still winless after eight matches.
Damwon and Hanwha Play the Friday Derby
Damwon Gaming play the opening match on Friday and this is also the most balanced of the entire week in the League of Legends Champions Korea. Hanwha Life Esports will be their opponents and even though they are credited with the second chance, they are likely to win. Pinnacle currently prices them at 13/10 to win, while the favorites get odds of only 6/10. Hanwha Life have won 5 matches out of 8, while their opponents have split points and have prevailed in 9 games out of 18 overall.
Pending Odds on the Remaining 5 Matches
As soon as the first five matches of the week will conclude, bookmakers will publish the updated odds on the remaining five games. Griffin are set to play against KT Rolster on Friday and we already know that they will get the same odds of 1/20 at GG.bet as against Gen.G. On Saturday, Sandbox Gaming will start as favourites against Kingzone DragonX and the same will happen when Gen.G takes on Jin Air. A busy week concludes on Sunday when SK Telekom will play as narrow favourites against Damwon Gaming, while Afreeca Freecs will try to end Hanwha Life Esports’ positive streak.
