CoD Vanguard, Warzone season 5 out with new weapons, maps, more
Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Season 5, Last Stand, is now out with a new battle pass, weapons, operators, maps, features, and more.
The Last Stand Battle Pass includes a lot of free items such as blueprints, calling cards, and charms. The battle pass also includes new legendary content and free guns, such as the EX1 prototype Energy Rifle and the lightweight RA 225.
The first track is free, providing players with a variety of items. To access all 100 Tiers, players must purchase the Last Stand Battle Pass Bundle. This unlocks a large portion of the early Tiers and three exclusive Legendary Halima Operator Skins—Stingray, Divemaster, and Neptunian.
Starting at Tier 0, players can purchase the premium track for 1,000 CoD Points. For 2,400 CoD Points, players can quickly advance through the first 25 tiers. Once a player reaches Tier 100, they will receive 1,300 total CoD Points, sufficient to purchase the next Battle Pass.
New weapons
Warzone Season 5 includes five new weapons. Two new free functional weapons—the EX1 and RA225—can be acquired by playing the free track.
The EX1 is an updated version of the EM1, a laser rifle from the 2014 CoD game, a “prototype energy rifle effective at long range and highly customizable.”
“This prototype Energy Rifle leaves behind traditional ballistics in favor of a customizable battery system used to power its attacks,” Activision said.
“Effective at long range, the weapon requires a cooling off period after depleting its charge capacity. You don’t have to worry about running out of ammo, but get caught during the reload and you’re in trouble.”
The EX1 is unlocked at battle pass tier 15, but to access the gun without playing, players must purchase the expanded Battle Pass.
The RA 225 submachine gun is “a high fire rate and a very mobile compact frame.”
“This lightweight SMG boasts a fast fire rate and quick handling, perfect for shredding enemies in close to midrange battles — if you can manage its upward kick,” Activision said.
“It’s great for objective play in tight areas, though you may want to pair it with a heavier-damage-dealing weapon when more firepower is needed.”
Players only need to rank up the battle pass To tier 31 to unlock the RA 225 or purchase the more expensive version of the pass to unlock Tier 25.
New Operators
Season 5 also sees the introduction of new Operators. In Warzone, players can now take on the roles of Raul Menendez, Khaled Al-Asad, Gabriel Rorke, and Seraph.
Menendez is unlocked at Tier 0, granting players immediate access to his Ivory Mystique skin. Menendez is the leader of the Cordis Die terrorist organization in Nicaragua. He was the main antagonist in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Al-Asad, on the other hand, cannot be unlocked as an Operator via gameplay or in-game achievements. He is only available by acquiring the Khaled Al-Asad Operator Bundle, which costs approximately 2,400 CoD points
Commander Rorke was the main antagonist in Call of Duty: Ghosts. He can only be unlocked by paying $19.99 or 2,400 CoD points.
He “Seraph” Zhen-Zhen also appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. She and her companions will be available separately on Warzone’s in-game Store. The Seraph bundle costs 2,400 CoD points. It comes with an exclusive weapon blueprint for the BP50.
