Dr Disrespect is going to make his own games, again - Twitter
Guy ‘Dr. Disrespect‘ Beahm has launched the long-awaited new game studio named “Midnight Society” with gaming industry veterans Robert Bowling and Quinn DelHoyo.

Dr. Disrespect is a former Twitch streamer with over 4 million followers before he was permanently banned and a game developer himself, working on Call of Duty studio Sledgehammer Games. He also teamed up with Rogue Company developers, creating “The Champions Club” map and skin of his own in 2014’s Advanced Warfare.

Now, the Doc is active on Youtube with over 3 million subscribers.

Through his Twitter handle, he dropped the exciting announcement with the caption “Introducing my new AAA Game Studio, Midnight Society. Give us a follow @12am. It’s time”.

The future of gaming

Plans on establishing a new AAA game studio started on August 10, 2021, when a job listing for a “gaming studio head” was posted on the champions club website.

Ever since then, Dr. Disrespect has talked on multiple occasions about taking ideas from H1Z1 and Call of Duty for the studio’s first two games.

According to a blog post on Midnight Society’s official website, Dr. Disrespect has a vision of creating a game that is different from the ones in the market, and “reward all those fans and influencers who make them a success”.

“As a long-time player, streamer, and former game developer myself, I’ve often dreamed of creating awesome titles that entire communities can get behind from day one,” said Dr. Disrespect.

Players and mega influencers will be able to fully participate in the games’ development from early stages, eventually creating a game that everyone will enjoy. It aims to “drive feature prioritization, pivotal design decisions, and fuel innovation in the shooter genre”

Collaborating with big names

To run the new co-founded studio, Dr. Disrespect brought Robert Bowling as the Studio Head and Quinn Delhoyo as the studio’s Creative Director along the ride.

Robert Bowling is a former Call of Duty Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist and Community Manager before his resignation in 2012. He was best known as “fourzerotwo”, as his Twitter username says. During his stay, he managed to launch three original games from the Modern Warfare franchise.

Since leaving the studio, he has been active at multiple game studios, such as Robotoki, where he became a Studio Head, and Strange Reptile, an independent game studio in Salt Lake City where he became the Game Director. He also acted as a Creative Consultant for Electronic Arts on various titles, from Star Wars, Anthem, Apex Legends, to FIFA and many more.

Meanwhile, Quinn DelHoyo is well known among AAA fans. His most recent work is 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite as the Lead Sandbox Designer. Apart from that, he has worked at Redmond studio for nine years.

The three met under different circumstances, with Dr. Disrespect meeting Bowling while working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Bowling meeting DelHoyo while creating designs for Gears of War and the Halo series.

Midnight Society’s first title is already under development, and it is “being built from the ground up on Unreal Engine 5”. The official announcement of the game is coming up soon. More information is available on the website (midnightsociety.com) and their Twitter handles at @12am.
