Epic Games has announced that Fortnite Chapter 3 will begin next week, saying farewell to Chapter 2 with a major live event as a final piece of the puzzle of the current plot.

“‘The End’ is a one-time-only, in-game event. Content creators and players looking to relive the final moments of Fortnite Chapter 2 should take steps to record and archive their experience as replays will not be available,” Epic Games states.

“Players will be unable to edit their settings once ‘The End’ begins, so please adjust any visual options to your preferred viewing experience before joining. Because the season will end a day early, all players who log in before the end of the season will receive a 225,000 XP reward.”

Epic Games‘ official website says as the new event kicks off on December 4 at 4 p.m. ET, players will “take on The Cube Queen in one last stand for the fate of the Island”.

“With The Convergence complete, The Cube Queen prepares her endgame for the Island, and nothing will ever be the same. Grab your weapons and fight the ultimate destroyer of all reality. Join ‘The End’, a one-time-only, in-game event and battle for your legacy,” the announcement reads.

“Squad up with your friends and players around the world to take on the Sideways corruption. ‘The End’ supports large parties of up to 16 players queued together, so bring the whole squad along.”

Epic Games also reminded the players to “be sure to log in early” as “‘The End’ playlist will be available in Fortnite 30 minutes prior to the start time for players to jump in”. Players who compete in The End event will earn a themed loading screen and wrap.

The event will complete the current Fortnite storyline and feature a battle against the Cube Queen, expected to last less than 20 minutes.

Things to complete in Chapter 2 Season 8 before The End

According to Epic Games’ official guideline on its website, players need to finish any remaining Quests and unlock any remaining rewards before December 4 at 4 p.m. ET. For example:

– Completing the Cube Queen’s Page 1 & 2 Quests

– Collecting Color Bottles and Rainbow Ink to unlock Toona Fish Styles

– Trading in any remaining Battle Stars in exchange for rewards

– Note that any unused Battle Stars will be automatically redeemed for the earliest available rewards.

– Rainbow Ink and Color Bottle styles for Toona Fish should be acquired before the season ends.

– Quests from Packs like the Graveyard Drift Quest Pack will carry over to the next season.

Starting on November 30 at 9 a.m. ET, Fortnite will hold a special event called “Bargain Bin Week” to help players spend their Bars, and the event will cut the cost of all Character services and Exotic item trades.

Epic Games has also confirmed that they will be hosting a Power Leveling Weekend starting from November 26 at 7 p.m. ET – November 29 at 7 a.m. ET to wrap up Season 8.

Gamers will be able to log in to get a pool of Supercharged XP and finish off their Battle Pass, as the end of Chapter 2 also means the end of the current Battle Pass.
