Ex-Xspark players GiLL, Viru join GodLike Esports BGMI roster

GodLike Esports has announced that former Team Xspark stars Gill and Viru will be entering the BGMI lineup after previously hinting on their social media handles about an upcoming announcement.

Since Krafton published some indications about the BGMI Esports 2022 timeline, there has been a lot of chatter in the BGMI community. The BGMI tournaments are assumed to be similar to the PUBG Mobile events, with large prize pools.

As a result, organizations are not passing up opportunities to assemble the greatest possible team. GodLike Esports is the most recent organization to undergo some adjustments.

Strengthening the roster

The GodLike Esports BGMI roster is believed to be one of the most dominant teams in the Battlegrounds Mobile India eSports scene. From official to third-party competitions, GodLike Esports’ star-studded team has made a name for itself in the community.

GodLike Esports was designated the Indian roster that will compete at PMGC 2021 after finishing fourth in the BGMI India Series 2021. However, the team performed mediocrely throughout the finals, but fans held out hope for a better outcome this year.

GodLike Esports’ BGMI roster now includes six players: GiLL, VIRU, Suraj “Neyoo” Nityanand Majumdar, Jonathan Jude Amaral, Abhishek “ZGOD” Choudhary, and Vivek “ClutchGod” Aabhas Horo. The team will be coached by Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare. He had previously played for GodLike as a backup in certain competitions when one of the players was unavailable.

Abhijeet, the face of GodLike Esports, was also hyping the fans about a major shift in the GodLike Esports BGMI lineup that would rock the entire community. The announcement comes as GiLL and Viru, who were recently released from Team Xspark due to internal friction, are set to join this prestigious organization.

What GiLL, Viru bring to Godlike

This signing serves as a sort of homecoming for both GiLL and Viru. GiLL played for GodLike in 2020 before joining Orange Rock Esports the following year. He earned the PMCO spring split India 2020 with GodLike and finished sixth in the PMPL South Asia season one.

Meanwhile, Viru was actually a member of the Entity Gaming roster in 2019, alongside Ghatak, Neyoo, and Jonathan. In 2019, the squad claimed the PMCO fall split. Therefore, he will be reunited with some of his former GodLike teammates. As both players then joined Orange Rock Esports, they also managed to finish second in the PMWL East season zero, the region’s greatest performance in a worldwide competition.

GiLL and Viru were most recently a part of Team XSpark, which is run by Tanmay “Sc0utOP” Singh, a prominent BGMI professional player and streamer. Neyoo said in a live stream recently that Sc0utOP was not paying GiLL and Viru their wages, which is why they quit the team.

However, Sc0utOP has not yet responded to these accusations. On February 7, Team Xpark revealed in an Instagram story that the lineup was disbanding owing to “internal issues.”

The cause for this team’s disbandment was also disclosed by Animesh “Thug” Agarwal (Co-owner of S8UL), who notified fans that the players would be discharged due to many internal concerns. However, it has also been announced that Harmandeep “Mavi” Singh Mavi and Tanmay “Scout” Singh will remain together.
