Fortnite’s 23.20 update may be coming this week

Epic Games is expected to release the 23.20 update to Fortnite sometime this week. The midseason update will feature a load of new content, including skins and bug fixes for several known issues.

In the upcoming update, players will be able to unlock Midseason Drop skin styles for Massai, Doom Slayer and Dusty by completing their respective quests. This update also comes with the new skin Rift Warden, which will be available on the Item Shop.

The update will also feature new weekly missions, which allow players to easily unlock Battle Pass skins, Super Level styles and Midseason Drops. Players will also be able to play the second part of the Oathbound questline in this update.

Furthermore, several Fortnite leakers have revealed two new items that will be released to the game. One of them is a weapon called the Firefly Launcher, while the other is a utility item called the Power Guitar. However, it has yet to be confirmed if these items will be released along with the 23.20 update.

Some leaks, however, revealed that the update would fix several bugs in the game. Two known bugs are the screen turning dark in split-screen mode while opening Map or Quests menu in Battle Royale. The other is the inconsistency of the Prop Mover in Fortnite Creative.

The developer has also acknowledged other major issues in the game, including the Aerialist Augment being disabled and the inability to hit the targets with a weapon while sprinting and jumping. However, there has been no confirmation if the developers will have these issues fixed in the update.

Fortnite Creative 2.0 is reported to be one of the new features coming this month. Previously, it was predicted to be released in the January 31 23.30 update instead of the upcoming one.

According to Tim Sweeney, founder and CEO of Epic Games, the developer was working on Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), which was anticipated to be released along with the 23.20 update. However, he previously said in November that the UEFN had been delayed until late January 2023.

Upcoming collaborations

Epic Games has been rumored to engage in more collaborations for Fortnite, with Dead Space being one of them. Reports from Insider Gaming said that Fortnite’s partnership with Dead Space would take place on January 23, 2022. It would be followed by Dead Space Remake, scheduled for release a few days later.

Earlier this month, Insider Gaming said that Fortnite and Australian musician The Kid LAROI would be collaborating to host a concert on January 24 or 25 after the release of Dead Space.

It was also reported that the music from the event would remain available in the game for a month after the concert, along with new in-game cosmetic items.

Meanwhile, a Fortnite leaker who goes by the username GMatrixGames tweeted that Epic Games’ other collaboration would be with the toy company LEGO. This partnership would allow Fortnite to bring some characters from LEGO into the game and open new possibilities on the game’s creative side.
