The HCT Fall Championship Begins on October 11 at Blizzard Area
The Hearthstone Championship Tour continues with the same intensity after major events were scheduled over the last couple of weeks. Things just took a turn for the better, since the HCT Fall Championship starts on October 11 at the Blizzard Area Los Angeles in Burbank California. Fans of the popular game will have the chance to compete for a share of the guaranteed prize pool worth $250,000. The winner will be decided on October 14 and there are only 16 players competing for this massive amount.

HCT Fall Championship Rules and Structure
The winner will also win a seat at the upcoming HCT World Championship, so the stakes are as high as they get. The 16 participating players will be divided into four identical groups of four players each. In the initial phase of the tournament, players will try to secure a place in the playoffs, where only eight players will qualify. Both the elimination in the decider games will be played on Saturday, October 13, with the playoff bracket to take place on Sunday.
The matches will be played in a best-of-five format and with a single ban, while the rules that have applied throughout the 2018 HCT Tournament will be in effect. For the participating players, these rules are well known, but Blizzard has published them in the tournament handbook for anyone to see. All of the matches will be broadcasted live, so Hearthstone fans from all over the world can watch them as they unfold. Those who convey to the Blizzard Arena will also be able to watch the games live.

Tournament Prize Pool and Format
The first matches start on October 11 and those played in Groups A and B as well as the ones from Groups C and D scheduled for the next day, are broadcasted live. The elimination and deciders take place on October 13 and they are open to the live audience. Championship Sunday is the highlight of the tournament and fans of the games will be able to take their seats at the Blizzard Arena and watch every moment in real-time. The last gaming session will span over nearly 10 hours from 6:30 PM to 4 AM.
The entire HCT Fall Championship can be watched on live streams, more precisely on the official Twitch channel or in person. With only 16 players participating in this tournament, the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool will be divided between fewer people, so the prizes are bigger. The winner will be awarded $50,000 and 30 HCT, while the runner-up will receive almost as much, $40,000 and 25 HCT. The next two players will be rewarded for their performance with $20,000 and 20 HCT and both will finish in 3rd.
Four players who will be eliminated in the quarterfinals will receive 12,500 games and there won’t be any matches to decide the placement between the fifth and the eighth place. All the other players who finish outside top eight will receive $7500.
