League of Legends MSI 2022 releases team accessories, including emotes, icons
This year’s League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational will take place on May 10 in Busan, South Korea. Other than featuring intense professional esports experience, this year’s first-ever international event for LOL also got fans covered with accessories up for purchase.
South Korea will be hosting the LOL international S tier esports tournament for the first time. The competition initially aimed to gather 12 teams from select regions, but the team seeded from Riot Games’ Russian counterpart organizer in LCL was not given the green light to proceed following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Thus, there are only 11 teams competing for the top spot in MSI 2022.
Team emotes, icons price details
MSI 2022 provides players with the purchase of emotes and icons which can be bought with Riot Points (RP). The cheapest item costs 250 RP and the most expensive is 1342 RP. Players also may purchase individual items or get bundle deals instead.
Each emote and icon represents the team competing in the tournament. Therefore, individual team icons and emotes are valued at the same RP. Again, the only differences come from bundle prices. The most expensive bundle is the emote bundle, while the icon bundle only costs 957 RP.

The first phase is called the Group Phase (May 10-15). As the tournament begins, 11 teams are slated to compete in different groups. There are three groups in total, with two groups consisting of four teams and a single group of three. The format used will be a best-of-one double-round robin match within each group.
After that, the tournament will proceed to the second phase, the Rumble Stage (May 18-22). Two best-performing teams from each group will be seeded to compete in a similar match format to the previous phase.
The top four teams will then compete in the Knockout Stage (May 27-29), playing best-of-five single elimination games to seed two teams for the final round of MSI 2022 on May 29.
