Pinnacle Cup Dota 2 Tournament

Pinnacle Cup returns again, and this time it’s a Dota 2 tournament. After a successful CSGO event, Pinnacle has decided to continue their partnership with Relog Media and GRID Esports, and branch out into Dota 2.

The event will feature a massive $100.000 prize pool, the same as before, only this time there will be 12 competing teams from Europe and CIS regions.

The tournament begins on May 5th, and is scheduled to conclude on May 30th, 2021.

We’ll quickly cover the basic tournament information, mention the prize pool distribution, and then get right into our Dota 2 betting predictions for this event.

Tournament Information

All twelve teams were direct invites, so there were no qualifiers for this event. The esports tournament begins with a single round-robin Group Stage that transitions into a double-elimination Playoffs bracket. All matches are Bo3, with the Grand Final being Bo5.

Only the top two teams from the Group Stage move into the Upper Bracket, while the 3rd-6th placed teams go into the Lower Bracket. The rest are eliminated.

This will be an action-packet Dota 2 event, and a perfect opportunity to experience Pinnacle esports at its finest.

Pinnacle Cup – who should you bet on?

The event kicks off today, so this is an excellent opportunity to do some live esports betting. To make things a bit easier for you, we’ll throw in our own betting tips and predictions for the first three matchups of the event.

HellRaisers vs. Vikin.gg

This is the first match of the day, and it will be a good one. The CIS region vs. Europe.

HellRaisers and Vikin.gg have both been dominating the Lower Divisions of their respective DPC events. If we look at the stats, we can see that both of squads are leading the scoreboards with 4 wins.

This is a coin toss situation, but we think that HellRaisers have an edge judging by their performance so far. They take clean 2-0 wins, and we believe they’ll do the same here.

EXTREMUM vs. Team Unique

Here we’ve got two teams from the DPC Season 2 CIS Upper Division. EXTREMUM have been falling behind after 3 consecutive losses. Team Unique, on the other hand, have managed to score at least 1 win and are currently sitting at the 5th spot in the Upper Division.

While EXTREMUM does have a chance to win here, we still think Team Unique has this one in the bag. Our vote goes to Team Unique.

Chicken Fighters vs. PuckChamp

PuckChamp is a relatively new Dota 2 team, having stepped into the scene in January this year. Chicken Fighters, however, have been active since late 2019.

We believe this experience gap does give Chicken Fighters a clear advantage in this case, and we expect them to win this match.

We hope you’ll enjoy watching this event as much as we’ll do. Make sure to bet on Pinnacle Cup and test your betting strategies.
