G2 Esports and Griffin Favourites in Group A

LoL World Championship betting presents punters with multiple opportunities if they focus on the Group A matches. G2 Esports are regarded by Betway and the vast majority of bookmakers as the most likely winners of the tournament. They won’t have an easy mission in the group stage, with the likes of Griffin and Cloud9 being their main counter candidates to advance. Hong Kong Attitude have been assigned to their group after surviving the Play-Ins and they look like the weakest of the four teams to advance to the main event. The team from Hong Kong is the fourth seed and we expect them to finish in the last place.

In the opening match scheduled for Sunday, G2 Esports play against Griffin and they are priced at 7/10. They have dominated the LEC during the regular season and the playoffs and should be able to extend their positive run at the LoL Worlds 2019. Their mission against Cloud9 looks even easier, with the North Americans frequently struggling against teams from Europe. Punters get odds of 1/4 if they bet on G2 Esports to prevail and 3/1 on the underdogs, which is decent value in a best of one series.

FunPlus Phoenix Set to Dominate Group B

The Chinese teams participating in the League of Legends Worlds 2019 have a decent shot at making deep runs in the tournament. FunPlus Phoenix have enjoyed the most dominant streak in the LPL and they are huge favorites to win Group B. Against both J Team and GAM Esports they only get odds of 1/10 at Buff.bet and they should be the first squad to secure qualification to the decisive round. Surprising enough, it is the last seed Splyce that is likely to give the Chinese favorites a run for their money. The Europeans have survived the play-in stage and have a strong chance to finish second in Group B.

The LoL Worlds 2019 betting guide favours FunPlus Phoenix because of the mechanical prowess of its key players, but also the amazing synergy. In spite of playing together for a relatively short period of time, their professional gamers are perfectly in sync. The real challenge for the Chinese team is to maintain its composure during the elimination rounds of the League of Legends Worlds Championship. Their goal is to win the group, so the decisive matches are the ones played against Splyce.

Group C is the Strongest at the LoL Worlds 2019

SKT 1 are the favourites to win the LoL Worlds 2019 at Unikrn (read also our Unikrn betting offer review), in spite of playing in the most difficult match of the tournament. The South Koreans are priced at 7/20 to defeat Fnatic in the opening match of this round, while the Europeans get odds of 2/1. This is a best of one series and Fnatic have a reputation for starting major tournaments in a convincing fashion, so an early upset shouldn’t be dismissed. They will have a difficult mission in winning the elimination rounds, but for the time being they look strong.

Group C is the toughest at the League of Legends Worlds 2019 and the Royal Never Give Up are credited with the second chance to advance. They will have a difficult mission against SKT 1, but bring a wealth of experience and talent to this tournament. We believe the South Koreans will eventually come on top and the odds of 3/5 available on them to win are quite tempting. This group got more difficult after Clutch Gaming were assigned to it, as this is one of the most in-form teams from the North American region.

Seeded Teams Expected to Struggle in Group D

Invictus is only the 3rd seed in Group D but the reigning League of Legends Worlds Championship winners are favourites to advance. Interesting enough, there are only narrow favorites over Damwon Gaming, the strongest team to enter the main event through the qualifiers. The South Koreans are the fifth favorites to win the tournament and they will be aiming for first place in Group D. That’s why punters must pay close attention to the two direct matches between the Chinese and Korean teams. Because group stage matches are played in a best of one format, it is worth taking a leap of faith with the underdogs.

In the opening day, Invictus play against AHQ eSports and punters can’t expect odds above 1/10 at ArcaneBet on them to win. LoL Worlds betting odds get better on Sunday, when the Chinese champions face Team Liquid and are priced at 1/2, while the Americans get 3/2. They will play a potentially decisive game next week, in the final match of the group stage against AHQ eSports. At the time of writing, the odds stand at 3/20, which is simply too low to justify the risk against the talented Taiwanese opponent. With Damwon Gaming being assigned to Group D, any victory secured by AHQ eSports can have serious consequences for the team they defeated.
