Starcraft Remastered Progamers Meet in the Round of 16 of ASL Season 6
The Afreeca Starleague Season 6 continues unabated and the remaining 16 players prepare for the decisive stage of the competition. There is plenty at stake because the guaranteed prize pool of ₩48 million will be split among the top four players. Most of the favorites have survived the initial phase of the competition and prepare for the Round of 16 Group Stage. The first matches of Group A take place on September 18th, while the players from Group B are scheduled to play two days later on September 20th.
These are the last Afreeca Starleague Season 6 matches to be played in September, as the Group C and D games are scheduled for early October. During this phase of the competition, matches are played in a best-of-one format, which means that there’s no room for error. The top two players from each group will advance to the elimination stage, where they will compete in a best-of-five series. At the end of the tournament, the winner will claim ₩30 million, while the runner-up will get ₩10 million.

Rain is favoured in the mostly Terran Group A
Three Terran players will be chasing second place in Group A, where Rain is the most favoured player set to prevail. Protoss is the reigning champion and he is given odds of 3/10 at Bet-At-Home and Betway to defeat Sharp in the opening match. Both Group A matches are scheduled to be held on September 18, and on the same day Mind and Sea will meet in an all Terran match. This will be a more balanced match, yet Mind is a narrow favourite at Esportsbetting.com, with odds of 3/5.
Punters who are willing to bet on a surprise in the opening match, can expect odds as high as 5/2 on Sharp to cause an upset and defeat the reigning champion. The match between Mind and Sea is particularly exciting because none of them have played against a Terran in the Round of 24 Group Stage.

Zergs and Protoss fight for supremacy in Group B
Two days after three of the remaining Terrans conclude their matches, Zergs and Protoss players will step into the spotlight. Group B debuts with two classic mirror matches, as Snow and Shuttle will be pit against each other before Soulkey and Effort play an all-Zerg game. The latter is the most balanced match of the Round of 16 so far, with a Soulkey victory being priced at 3/4 by Arcanebet, while punters get even odds on Effort to prevail.
Snow and Shuttle promise to produce a spectacular match, with Snow securing a direct qualification as Shuttle advances from a difficult group. GG.bet offers odds of 1/2 on Snow to win the match, whilst granting odds of 3/2 to punters willing to bet on Shuttle causing an upset.
