FIFA 23 TOTW 17 features Kevin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandes

EA Sports has revealed the FIFA 23 Team of the Week 17 (TOTW 17) lineup, which includes two of the best midfielders in the league, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes.

Team of the Week is EA Sports’ way to bring the real-world football experience into the game by recognizing the week’s top performers with unique cards in Fifa Ultimate Team.

The two players have impressed EA Sports’ TOTW committee with their performance. De Bruyne has been the engine behind Manchester City’s success, and his Man of the Match performance against Nottingham Forrest was another proof of his determination. His efforts helped the Citizens to salvage a draw and remain in the title hunt.

After scoring a goal, making an assist and being named MOTM in a 3-1 victory over Arsenal, Bruyne received his second TOTW item of FIFA 23 — bringing his overall rating in TOTW 17 to 93.

On the other side of Manchester, The Red Devils continued their hot streak with a surprising victory over Leicester City. Marcus Rashford scored three goals, and Bruno Fernandes provided two assists, earning them seats on TOTW 17 with an overall rating of 88.

Other TOTW 17 lineup

TOTW 17 also features some of the world’s top footballers. Lazio striker Ciro Immobile is included in the lineup with a rating of 88.

Immobile is joined by Serbian player Dušan Tadić (who plays for Ajax), Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus and Victor Tsygankov of Girona, who all received an 87-rated TOTW item.

Facundo Medina, a defender for Lens, got his card with an 86 rating. Following him with an 85 rating is Atlético Madrid’s Reinildo Mandava.

Five players with cards rated 84 are Glasgow Rangers’ James Tavernier, Leipzig’s Hungarian player Dominik Szoboszlai, Napoli’s defender Amir Rrahmani, Juventus’ Mattia Perin and Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal.

Millwall’s forward Tom Bradshaw, Zürich’s Oluwatosin “Tosin” Aiyegun, Mallorca’s Dani Rodriguez and Deportivo Alavés’ Luis Rioja González all have 83 rating cards.

Midtjylland’s Gustav Isaksen and Heidenheim’s Tim Kleindienst have 81 OVR. Giovanni Crociata from Cittadella, who has an OVR of 80, also joined them.

To conclude TOTW 17, 79-rated cards were issued to Jordan Holsgrove of Paços Ferreira and Tobias Bech of Ingolstadt.

Until next Wednesday, February 29, gamers can find the FIFA 23 TOTW 17 team in Ultimate Team packs.

FIFA 23 RTTF

In other news, the FIFA 23 RTTF (Road to the Final) promo is available in Packs.

The FIFA 23 RTTF campaign began with the unexpected early announcement of three participating soccer players — Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, Real Madrid’s David Alaba and Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen.

Currently, 23 RTTF players have been released. Twelve players played in the Champions League, nine in the Europa League and two in the Europa Conference League.

Each RTTF player item can be upgraded five times, albeit the Champions League uses a slightly different system due to having fewer knockout rounds.

In the same spirit as the Path to Glory promo from earlier in the season, FIFA 23 Road to the Final cards are live items that improve in rating based on how far players progress in their European run.

When a player advances to the next round of the Champions League, Europa Conference League or Europa League, they will receive a rating boost — raising their in-game numbers.

Champions League will have David Alaba, Roberto Firmino, Donyell Malen, Nicolo Barella, Leon Goretzka, Wesley Fofana, Lucas Moura, Nuno Mendes and Giacomo Raspadori.

Europa League will consist of Gabriel Martinelli, Ferran Torres, Federico Chiesa, Erik Lamela, Anthony Martial, Miranda, Kevin Volland, Moussa Diaby and Brais Mendez.

In addition to their already improved base numbers, players have the potential to improve their RTTF cards’ stats over time.
