MrBeast skin to be released in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

Epic Games has announced that a MrBeast skin will be released in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 as a part of the Icon Series.

Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson is a famous YouTuber who often makes over-the-top content. He has more than 116 million subscribers on his main channel and, combined with his side channels, is now among the biggest presence on the platform. He first gained fame for his public charity acts and Twitch streams.

Players speculate that there will be multiple styles of MrBeast skins, which may include the creator’s infamous straw hat. Some players even predict that MrBeast’s crew members, such as Karl Jacobs, will appear in the game.

The price for the MrBeast skin is comparable with other skins in the Icon Series in the Fortnite Item Shop, which is around 1200 to 1600 V-Bucks. Players can get a better deal by buying in-game items in a bundle at 2500+ V-Bucks.

Epic Games first announced the collaboration with MrBeast in November at FNCS Invitational 2022. Over the years, Fortnite has worked with many celebrities and content creators. Twitch and YouTube contribute heavily to its popularity.

Epic Games has not confirmed the exact release date for the MrBeast skin. It, however, said the release would happen sometime in December. The publisher added that it would be around the same time as the release of the My Hero Academia skin, which will likely hit the market before Christmas.

In the trailer for Fortnite’s new chapter, Epic Games introduced new skins other than MrBeast’s. Fans noted several characters, including Doom Slayer and The Witcher. Epic Games is also bringing Imagined Order leader Geno to the new chapter.

Fortnite latest update

Fortnite’s new chapter is already live, starting on December 4. The update introduced several new movement mechanics to the game. Epic said that players would have a different experience when mantling their character.

Players could lose momentum while mantling in the previous version. When it happened, they needed to restart their sprint. Epic has come up with a way to solve this particular issue.

“If you sprint at obstacles, you’ll now hurdle over or onto them,” Epic said. “Use this slick maneuver in your pursuit of victory.”

For players, the new mechanic will be useful when playing in Zero Build modes. It enables players to run over to any cover enemies hide behind and surprise them. Mantling can be done even when players face high obstacles, while hurdling is great to tackle shorter obstacles.

On December 8, Fortnite also introduced a cabined account for underage players. When logging into Fortnite for the first time, players need to enter their age. An Epic account will immediately turn into a cabined account if the registering user is underage. At that stage, players need to enter their parent’s email accounts for Fortnite to ask for parental consent.

Cabined accounts still allow younger players to have full access to the game. However, certain features in Fortnite require parental consent for access.

Epic Games offers a better graphic with the new chapter, as the company has upgraded the system to Unreal Engine 5.1. The gameplay is also now smoother compared to the previous versions.
