Rally Adventure DLC coming to Forza Horizon 5 in March

Playground Games has announced on the Forza YouTube channel that Forza Horizon 5 will have a second major piece of DLC called Rally Adventure. The update will be available for Xbox One and PC on March 29, 2023.

The main goal of Rally Adventure is to add what the developer calls the “rally experience” to the game by taking players on a trip to a rough new area called Sierra Nueva.

Racers can enjoy the new deformable terrain, kick-up effects system, new villages, a quarry with overhead conveyor belts to drive on and the first completely smashable forest in Forza Horizon 5.

In keeping with the expansion’s newfound emphasis on rallies, Sierra Nueva has much more challenging landscapes than the original game, focusing on undulating, densely packed tracks on and off the tarmac.

However, navigating the terrain becomes more dangerous in Sierra Nueva. Therefore, Rally Adventure introduced a new rally callout or pace note system to inform drivers of the difficulties ahead on the route.

Both are voiced by the player’s co-driver, located in the helicopter that flies behind the player’s car and appears on-screen as symbols throughout a race.

Playground Games insisted that the new tracks, which will include 27 new races, are “more challenging” than the main game. The developer has added aids like launch control and a blue, rally-specific racing line to make them more approachable.

The studio assures players that despite the shift in emphasis, there is still a great deal of leeway in how players tackle the expansion’s difficulties.

Players can experience the new area in Horizon Race and Horizon Rally. Any of the game’s vehicles, rally or otherwise, can be driven onto the track.

As players progress through Rally Adventure, they will be able to take on tasks for three additional teams featuring some famous individuals from Forza Horizon 5’s main cast.

Alex is in charge of the Horizon Raptors, who race on asphalt. At the same time, Alejandra’s Apex Predators are good at racing on mixed surfaces and Rami’s Grit Reapers like to take on the challenges of racing at night or in bad weather. Ten additional vehicles, including the Ford Focus, have been added to Rally Adventure.

Players also will be able to use anti-lag and other customization choices that weren’t previously available in the standard game. All players will also get to listen to new music from Epitaph Records, previously featured in Forza Horizon 3.

Forza Horizon 5 JDM update

Recently, the JDM update for Forza Horizon 5 was released to coincide with the game’s Japanese Automotive season.

The 2023 Nissan Z and Toyota Sports 800 are the only two new vehicles included to keep players’ attention on the weekly seasonal grinds that have become a staple of previous seasons.

As part of the JDM seasonal update for Forza Horizon 5, the legendary driver Ken Block’s V2 Hoonicorn has also been made available to players. The Hoonicorn and several other Block vehicles will be accessible as rewards for completing events on the Festival Playlist.
