2019 Global StarCraft II League Code S Groups C and D
We’re almost halfway through with the group stage of the 2019 Global StarCraft II League Code S and the best is yet to come. Earlier this week, Dark and Dear have secured qualification to the second phase of the tournament, with the Zerg player winning Group A. On Thursday, Classic and Trap have confirmed their favorite status, but had to fight hard against the likes of True and Losira. Classic ended up winning the group, while Trap won the decisive match against True to clinch second place and qualification. Now punters turned their eye to the matches of Groups C and D, which are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

Gumiho and Cure Chase Second Place in Group C
Terrans have the fewest players at the 2019 Global StarCraft II League Code S and Gumiho is one of the most promising. He will need to outshine a fellow Terran in the opening match, as he is scheduled to play against Cure on Friday afternoon. This is a perfectly balanced match, so it comes as no surprise that punters get identical odds of 9/10 at Pinnacle. The stakes are as high as they get, so the coolness and the ability to perform under pressure should give Gumiho a slight advantage.
Stats Gears up for a Blitz PvP against MC
Stats is arguably the best player in group C and the main candidate to qualify from the first position. He is not surprisingly favourite over MC, in the first match of the day, scheduled just before noon, on Friday. Betway only offers odds of 1/10 on his victory, which makes this the most lopsided match of the day. MC is a decent Protoss player, but a huge underdog in this match, as reflected by the odds of 9/2.
PartinG and sOs Play an All-Protoss Match
PartinG will be fighting an uphill battle on Friday against sOs, the more experienced Protoss of Group D. The outcome of the match is extraordinarily important, since the loser will have to deal with either Bunny or Solar, which are great against Protoss. Rivalry credits PartinG with the second chance and the 5/2 to produce an upset, while offering 3/10 on sOs to prevail. Punters can enjoy significantly better odds which currently revolve around even value, if they bet on the favorite to win in straight matches.
Bunny is the Slight Underdog against Solar
A classic Terran vs Zerg match is scheduled to take place on Saturday, one that Solar is expected to win by most bookmakers. ArcaneBet expects this to be a highly contested match, as reflected by the odds of 1/2 offered on the favorite. Bunny is well capable of producing an upset, as his a game against Zerg opponents is quite strong. Under these circumstances, odds of 3/2 on his victory are worth considering.
The Global StarCraft II League matches will be broadcasted in real-time on Twitch, so players can watch them live.
