Bet on Vital League of Legends LCK Playoff and Relegation Matches
At the end of the month, we’ll know the names of all the five League of Legends LCK teams that have qualified for the playoffs. There are six matches to be played by each team, so except for Jin Air Green Wings, everyone has theoretical chances of qualifying. There are however four teams competing with great chances for three places, while Griffin and Sandbox Gaming are virtually qualified already. Three Teams Play for the Last Playoff Spot in the LCK
Kingzone, Hanwha Life and Damwon are tied for the fourth place with eight victories each and they are likely to compete for two playoffs spots in the remaining three weeks. Kingzone have an easier schedule this week with matches against Jin Air Green Wings on Friday and Gen.G on Sunday. ArcaneBet has odds of 1/10 on them to win the first match and 3/10 on them to prevail in the second, so they look good.
Hanwha Life are at the opposite end of the spectrum, as they are underdogs in both matches played this weekend. The first one is the most important because it is played against Damwon where punters get odds of 13/10 on their victory. Damwon are the favourites at 3/5, but our feeling is that punters would be better off backing the underdogs in this fixture. We don’t believe, however, that Hanwha Life can cause an upset against SKT on Sunday at odds of 3/1, against a highly motivated team.
Korean Juggernauts on the Brink of LCK Relegation
SKT will be looking forward to defeat Hanwha Life in the aforementioned match, but the main focus is on the first day encounter. They play against their archrivals KT Rolster and that victory would have a two-pronged effect. If they confirm the odds of 1/5 offered by Pinnacle, SKT will secure qualification, while sending KT Rolster out of the playoffs race. KT Rolster can keep their faint hopes alive if they defeat the second placed team Sandbox Gaming and punters get excellent odds of 14/5 on this market.
These are just one of the Korean juggernauts on the brink of elimination, with Gen.G also being one step away from disaster. In the first match against Griffin, they get massive odds of 9/1 at Rivalry and they are also big underdogs at 12/5 in the last match played on Sunday against Kingzone. The biggest underdogs of all the teams playing this weekend are Afreeca Freecs who are also unlucky to be pit against Griffin. They get odds of 11/1 as opposed to 1/50 for the favourites and this defeat is likely to cause their elimination.
There are still two more weeks to be played in the League of Legends LCK, but at the end of this round, most teams will have booked a place for the playoffs. Some will be officially out and in the remaining two weeks, two or three teams will remain in their race for the last playoff spot.
