The League of Legends Wild Rift Patch 3.3b update has been released, revealing two new champions—Sion, a new baron lane tank, and Samira, a hybrid assassin-marksman. It also includes various balance changes.

Sion, the Undead Juggernaut who enjoys taking down enemies, was first hinted at in the Wild Rift Patch 3.3 previews. When Sion is killed, he morphs into a zombie, capable of auto-attacking at breakneck speed until his zombie health is depleted. Meanwhile, Samira, the Desert Rose, uses her ultimate to spin to victory and gains dash resets from kills.

Sion’s character and abilities

Sion is a traditional Noxian warrior known for slaughtering anyone who gets in his way. He swore to his ancestors that he would die a proud warrior’s death.

Demacia’s first king, Jarvan the First, was responsible for his death. However, just as he was about to start dying, he grabbed the king’s throat, refusing to die until Sion could take Jarvan’s life.

Darkwill, Noxus’ Grand General, zealously resurrected Sion. On the battlefield, Sion became extremely violent, butchering opponents and allies alike. He was imprisoned only to be set free by Jericho Swain.

Sion’s abilities Glory in Death, Decimating Smash, Soul Furnace, Roar of the Slayer, and Unstoppable Onslaught.

Sion will be available alongside Samira on August 26, 2022, at 20:01 EDT. To play Sion, players will need 5,500 Blue Motes or 725 Wild Cores.

Samira’s character and abilities

Samira was a street performer as a child, but her life was changed forever when armed strangers looted and murdered unarmed civilians in her village as she fled.

The event shaped her entire adult life. She accepted her fear and vowed never to let it stop her again. To help her family, she joined the Noxian Warband. She honed her skills as a gifted warrior there.

Her quest began with an urge for life-threatening wanderings. Samira remained a mercenary after her Noxian Warband branch was abolished.

Samira’s playstyle and skill sets will most likely remain the same as in the PC version of Wild Rift. Daredevil Impulse, Flair, Blade Whirl, Wild Rush, and Inferno Trigger will be among her abilities.

Patch 3.3b balance changes

The buffs to AP Gragas and nerfs to Yuumi are at the forefront of the Wild Rift Patch 3.3b balance changes.

Yuumi has proven to be a fierce and frustrating character, particularly for highly optimized players. Yuumi received three buffs in a row from the developers in recent updates.

The developers also improved Gragas’s sustain. Now, his Happy Hour passive gives him slightly more combat power, especially during the laning phase.

Furthermore, the damage AP ratios of his Drunken Rage and Body Slam have been increased to 75 percent and 70 percent, respectively. These changes give Gragas a little more punch when dealing damage.

Nautilus is another Wild Rift champion who gained substantial buffs in Patch 3.3b.

First, his base movement speed is increased to 330. Second, the cooldown for Dredge Line has been lowered to 12/11/10/9 seconds, and the projectile speed has been increased to 18.

Third, his Depth Charge ability’s acceleration time is shortened to one second. Its cooldown has been reduced to 60/50/40 seconds as well.
