BGIS 2021 Quarter-Finals Results, Top 6 Teams in Semi-Finals

The first day of the quarterfinals of Battleground Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021 finally commenced, leaving six winning teams to advance to the Semi-Finals.

The battle for the top spot for the semi-finals continues, as the quarter-finals proceed until January 5, 2022. A total of 644 teams have been divided into 4 groups, with 16 teams each.

Day-1 Stars

The qualifying teams are Hyderabad Hydras, 7Sea Esports, Old Hood Esp, Only Glitch, Revenant Esports, and COXRIPMIZO.

From the beginning, Hyderabad Hydras was playing offensive, leading them to to the overall score leaderboard with 53 kills and 99 points.

7Sea Esports with its leader Aladin, a former Godlike player, started the event slowly, but came back and took second place with 94 points.

Lower tier Old Hood Esp managed to snatch third place after winning two chicken dinners, gaining a total of 88 points and 36 total finishes.

Meanwhile, Only Glitch gained 32 total finishes and 63 total points. Revenant Esports collected 26 total finishes, 1 winning chicken dinner, and 51 total points. COXRIPMIZO collected 14 total finishes and a total point of 51.

Surprisingly, Team Forever, which included star players such as Owais, MaxKash, Savitar, and Franky, could not maintain their good start and ranked only 9th overall with 37 points and 25 finishes. The team was in the fourth spot by the end of match number two, however, they struggled to go through the next few matches.

Owais, the in-game leader, posted on his Instagram regarding the elimination and thanked the fans for the support. He promised to get back up and come back stronger in the future.

Global Esports, a team that worked well in the online qualifiers, was only able to collect 14 points in the last four matches and a total of 25 points, placing them on rank 12 out of 16 teams. Many assume the failure is due to a lot of changes that the team did lately.

Sangwan, a member of Global ESports apologized to the fans for the result and promised they would do better next time.

BGIS 2021 Quarter-Finals

The first day is over, and the second day of the quarter-finals commenced.

Reckoning Esports swept through the matches with impressive performance, gaining 46 total finishes, winning 2 chicken dinners, and a total of 100 points.

Following Reckoning Esports with quite the gap in total points is Team Chicken Rushers, who ended the matches with 18 total finishes, 1 WWCD, and a total of 62 points.

247 Gaming and TeamXO are ranked 3 and 4, with the same total of 61 points. However, 247 Gaming managed to rank higher due to higher total finishes, 33 to 28, and 1 WWCD.

Next on the rank is Udog India, who gained 31 total finishes, 1 WWCD, and 59 total points. The last one who qualified for the next round is The Supari Gang, with 32 total finishes, 1 WWCD, and 57 total points.

The semi-finals of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021 will be held from January 7 to January 10, 2022. the winning team from the competition will represent India at PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) around the end of January.
