Call of Duty: Vanguard season 2 brings Ranked Play, Battle Pass and more
Call of Duty: Vanguard season 2 update is set for release next week with the long-awaited Ranked Play feature and more content.
The new update will bring the long-awaited competitive multiplayer mode called Ranked Play.
Fans of the installment have been looking forward to getting a taste of the favorite mode which was present in previous COD games.
Ranked Play, new rewards
Along with the new update, fans will be getting two new-midsized multiplayer maps called Gondola and Casablanca, two free perks, killstreaks, and brand new equipment players can find within the Battle Pass. The new maps will be made available in the Ranked Play.
The two new perks will be on the cards, while the new killstreaks are the “Ball Turret Gunner”, achievable with 12 streak kills and lethal equipment is a sticky bomb that is a direct rival to the frag grenade. Although, aside from these, players can expect more additional multiplayer content for Vanguard.
Vanguard is reportedly going to have Ground War mode as a new game mode for the season 2 update. For those who are not familiar, Ground War is a massive 64 players square multiplayer mode against one another in a team of two. The game mode features large-scale conflict and vehicles, capture and holds objectives. In a way, it is similar to Domination and Battle Royale or somewhere in between the two.
However, Ranked Play is the star of the show for the Season 2 update.
Details about Ranked Play
The development team of the game has been teasing fans with the Ranked Play mode ahead of the release window. While fans on the other hand have been eagerly waiting since the launch of the game.
Furthermore, the launch of the Ranked Play is launching with the 2022 Call of Duty League season. Hence, allowing both professionals and casual players altogether to have a taste of the competitive play.
Although, prior to the full-fledged release, the mode will be going through the beta stage next week for the developers to conduct extensive tests before launching it.

Other than Vanguard, Call of Duty: Warzone will be getting content updates alongside Vanguard.
Armored War Machines is set to release on February 14 with new maps, more zombies content, weapons, operators, and alterations to the game’s Pacific map. Moreover, the developers will also be releasing new redeploy balloons and points of interest like the Chemical Factory.
New zombies content provides major updates as the undead assault is heating up in Egypt’s Eastern Desert. The new map is called Terra Maledicta and aside from that players will encounter a new portal that opens to the Dark Aether followed by new other arenas to be discovered.
Fans of the series are in for a major treat following this month’s new update as Vanguard and Warzone are getting more and more content.
